Julie Yeeun Kim is a singer, songwriter, and worship leader. In March 2020, she released her first worship single, Your Love, which is now available on all music platforms. In 2019, she was an arts fellow at Define American, and through the duration of the fellowship she explored the intersections of faith, community, and politics, particularly politics surrounding issues of race and immigration. In 2018 Julie collaborated with jazz musician John Daversa’s Big Band in the album “American Dreamers,” which won three Grammy awards in 2019, including the category for “Best Large Jazz Ensemble.”
In addition to her music, Julie is a lecturer in the Asian and Asian American Studies Department at CSU, Long Beach. She is simultaneously completing a second MA in Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. The culmination of her passions and pursuits is a life of service to God and others and to see God’s will accomplished on earth as it is in heaven.
